Jesus Says You Don't Need To Be Afraid To Make That Choice That's Been Scaring You
My testimony about anxious decision making in life.
5 ¶ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3
So I have math finals, but I’m here because I’m crazy and I felt God moving me saying that I can create something really quick before I cram some more.
If you are in the middle of making a choice,
and maybe both choices are good or maybe it’s just one choice that can entirely change your life or maybe you’re thinking of a choice to remove yourself completely from something that doesn’t serve you or your health anymore,
whatever it is. Multiple choices and options, less choice options to one big choice, and it feels like God isn’t really telling you exactly what to choose… or it feels like He’s giving you the space to think on your own.
Trust yourself to choose something.
Trust yourself to also know that you can have it all through faith, hope, and the pure love of Christ (which is charity). You can do it in His strength.
You can do school and still make time for your dreams (literally me right now #StressedandBlessed). You can be a parent and still make time for the things that could be so great for your family. You can get that house you’ve been looking at and still find joy in something new. You can be busy and be open to forms of His love that calls your attention. You can get that job and know that God will watch over you and your family.
You can take the risk
of trusting yourself to make a choice and let God handle the rest. Whatever you choose, evaluate and identify (with God) what it could mean for you or your family.
Whatever choice you make, as long as you involve the Lord in your planning—He reminds you that you can still have it all.
I’m not saying “all” like material things, but you can have everything you need and more when you focus in the perfect joy only He can offer you, (and nothing/no one else can do that).
Do the thing that scares you,
and your witness of calm will come when you let your faith take a step. Or you can be calm before hand or during it all, your choice too! Haha. The Lord never breaks His promises.
Take the leap. Make it happen. Make it exist. You can do hard things because you won’t be doing it alone.
You can have it all and He will give you the miracle of His strength to do what He asks of you, because our Father in Heaven gave us Jesus.
Believe that whatever you choose, He’s got it covered. So trust yourself, and make the move. God is bigger than your anxiety. ♥️
13 But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.
20 And now, my brethren, how is it possible that ye can lay hold upon every good thing?
21 And now I come to that faith, of which I said I would speak; and I will tell you the way whereby ye may lay hold on every good thing.
22 For behold, God knowing all things, being from everlasting to everlasting, behold, he sent angels to minister unto the children of men, to make manifest concerning the coming of Christ; and in Christ there should come every good thing.
25 Wherefore, by the ministering of angels, and by every word which proceeded forth out of the mouth of God, men began to exercise faith in Christ; and thus by faith, they did lay hold upon every good thing; and thus it was until the coming of Christ.
26 And after that he came men also were saved by faith in his name; and by faith, they become the sons of God. And as surely as Christ liveth he spake these words unto our fathers, saying: Whatsoever thing ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is good, in faith believing that ye shall receive, behold, it shall be done unto you.

Here’s a video/song of one of the biggest reminders of making choices and doing hard things, so that we can ultimately have and focus on the perfect joy of His existence, love, and Gospel. I’m eternally grateful for them.

What are your Christmas plans?? Tell me in the comments!!
My crazy family is flying over here and I’m so excited! 😆💜
If this post spoke to you, here’s some more!! :’)
So true—choices can be scary but we really can go and do all things with confidence in Christ. Thanks for the reminder and reinforcement, especially during such a season of hustle and bustle where it’s easy to forget and forgo the true meanings and Reason for the season.
Such great and encouraging words for decision-making! This year we’ll be with the in-laws for Christmas and we’re so excited that it’s my baby’s 2nd Christmas! It almost feels like her first though because last year she was only 2 weeks old 🥲
