Hello everyone!! There are so many of you that subscribed recently and I couldn’t be more excited to have you join me here— under our cozy bower of our old charming oak tree. 🌿
I work in the temple once a week and I’ve been drawn to study more closely about our Savior, Jesus Christ. (Which is why I also find it cool that
just published a weekly focused study plan of the Savior’s Atonement as well!! Go check it out guys!!)Anyway, the words “Learn of Me” keep visiting my mind and after some soul searching, I found this book online, and ordered it asap! I also shared it in my Hear Him chat—please feel free to come and chat with me there too :)
In my chat I said that this is a Latter-Day Saint Christian workbook that includes learning (with extra emphasis & focus) of Jesus Christ, with ALL references about Him in the KJV Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price. Yup, it’s pretty intense. Do you like my pen too? Haha.
Okay so, what’s so mind blowing to me lately is that Jesus has SO MANY names! I’ll tell you one of my favorites—I AM. Yes, Jesus Christ ALSO identifies as the words I AM. Knowing that, what would it mean for us?
I love self-help books and content, especially the really wholesome ones that give you affirmations with grounding meditation music. I’m a big sucker for those!!
So imagine the realization I had when I learned that every positive (becoming-oriented) affirmation is rooted in identifying our Savior, Jesus!!
Becoming more like the Savior feels hard. But I’m learning you and I shouldn’t be doing it alone.
My prayer is that if you are in the rocky parts of climbing complicated boulders of becoming who you want to be, remember that you can have confidence in the affirmations you tell yourself.
To truly understand that YOU can say with covenant confidence, “I am becoming,” and that our Redeemer who is Christ is the root of ALL affirmations. Because He is I AM.
