The Desire, An Inkling, Your Talent
There is purpose on what keeps reoccurring, and what doesn't.
A challenge only becomes an obstacle when you bow to it.
— Ray Davis
Do you remember that feeling when you were younger, maybe at school or a playground, feeling curious about a certain person and wanting so bad to get to know them? To be their closest friend because there was something about them that draws you in, or maybe you had a mad crush? Something that you looked forward to and made you feel excited getting up in the morning?
The last time I felt all of that to the core, was in grade school.
My husband’s family invited my sister and myself to watch a Christmas program held by the Tabernacle choir featuring the lovely Lea Salonga and legendary David Suchet. It was madly unforgettable. I cried multiple times. I was hit by lightning, inspiration and warmth.
I write this as a message from my heart to you.
What inspires you? What do you really, really want to do?
If there was one thing that sparked my mind from the Christmas program, it was this.
Discover something you like to do, whatever it is,
and be really, really - I mean exceptionally good at it.
Dedicate yourself to it in your daily life or on assigned days.
That one passion project you’ve been putting off all these years.
Multiple passion projects? Sure! Why not?
Then share it to the world.
If you’re feeling a little crazy, share it to YOUR world.
Enthusiasm only comes once,
commitment creates dreams into reality.
It’s been a long, long time since I felt excited about doing something creative. I am happy that I have the ability to do passion projects - and grateful that I can feel awakened about something I know very little about. But something I still love, something I’m curious about, something I look forward to - one I can keep learning about, trying, and failing.
Making mistakes is part of it. Practice makes progress. A constant increase seems a lot more exciting than a stagnant, personalized-standard destination stop to perfection land. Wow, that was a mouthful.
— My all time favorite LANY song. Cry with me.

I feel I'm falling into writing. I've oft journaled on and off in tough times. But this feels like a tug. 🖊📃
