1 Nephi 11
17 And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things.
Oddly enough, this was quite hard to write. I’m so tired, lol.
I’ve been metaphorically slapped in the face many times by the heavens during marriage. I am genuinely learning now that when we ask for something we deeply desire, there’s a very uncomfortable price in return. God remembers what we ask for. The things that are important to us, mean the world to Him. He remembers our dreams and He wants to best for each individual in our family. He wants only the best for you.
Here’s the thing.
When we pray for something and we seemingly go through the opposite of what we prayed for - majority of the time, it’s because the suffering (the price of our worthy desires) is the path preparing us for something great, sometimes even better than great - something absolutely WONDERFUL.
The rollercoaster of it all sucks, but I am understanding that it is the raw vulnerability we feel from suffering that ultimately allows us to connect deeply with God or even anyone (causing us to pray or even feel desperate for any help - may it be divine or not - the feeling of wanting our needs met as a whole, wanting that connection with someone or something far away, etc.), which means it is through the act of reaching out to Him that we are accessing the power of Jesus Christ and His Atonement for our unique, personal lives.
♡♡♡
It is through Jesus Christ that we can incomprehensibly, confidently have our needs met as a whole (in a long-lasting perspective).
Inspiring things recently…
I watched the video below last week, which struck me with all kinds of feelings during Thanksgiving. I invite you to watch it as well and see how it can apply to your life.
