I was watching one of my favorite YouTubers last week and she said something that inspired me to write about each and every personal/not so personal dreams we have cornered in our hearts.1
She talked about dandelions. Yes, dandelions! The ones that we pick up as children, hold in our hands with our eyes closed, maybe finding ourselves fully relying on one tiny plant to keep our dreams safe as we blow on its blossoms for the wind to carry.
She also talked about how unique the dandelion blossoms are—how they carry a seed, like she has her own wings. With our breath or through the guide of the wind, it is even more beautiful to think about how these seeds with parachute-like wings carry its seed to different places, neighborhoods, nearby communities, and even unlikely areas to be.
Our dreams are much like the dandelion’s seeds. Yes, they are many—some exist now, some are still forming. These seedling dreams can form in different areas it meets, in unlikely places, in unexpected times. To be born, they must flow in the rhythm of where the wind takes them—in full trust, in full pursuits of growing and being seen.
Share your story!2 Your dreams have wings like a dandelion. These dreams can spread in the most unexpected places—and where its most needed.
I planted some wildflowers in our front porch and I found a dandelion right next them! Random, but made me smile. The bees loved the flowers. I am sure that just like the bees by my home, you’ll find that when you share what’s in your heart, you help feed and nurture another’s journey.
What the Lord has planted in you is a promise to help provide for what you need in this life and the life to come. Don’t give up! Keep going!3
Because He keeps all of His promises we make with Him,
from Him,
you and I
are capable of gaining our fondest dreams.4
Your dreams are needed! We need it!
Just remember that they are not made and accomplished alone.
