Alma 7: 12
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
“I Hate Being Married!”
Yup, I said it. I poured my heart out to my husband and expressed my feelings with no filter. It felt awesome. Even my husband can agree that being married can be so difficult. For those who are married, don’t tell me your first year - let alone, your first couple of months living together - was NOT hard.
*ugly cri*
I love my husband so much.
But even when you feel like you’re healing,
forgotten and unprocessed emotional triggers can pop up,
and it can create a massive blockage
to what can healthily fuel any relationship.
A New, Gentle Groove
I thrive on having a routine every morning and night. I had a specific morning routine before and while dating my husband. That routine was what worked for me then. Being married made me realize that it’s okay to change your routine depending on the phase of your life.
The key is making this new ritual EASY. I mean like, EXTREMELY EASY for you!
Because honestly,
everything works.
Once you truly listen to what’s deep inside you
and shut out what the world tells you otherwise,
you can find a beautiful, wonderful,
SMALL and SIMPLE routine
that can GRADUALLY
and DRAMATICALLY
help you become the person you want to be.
Marriage is an Artwork of the Almighty
It’s not easy to do,
but the most healing work I can do for myself is to forgive quickly.
Take this as a sign that there is hope when we practice courage out in the open.
Being kind when you feel like there’s nothing left to say is brave.
Forgiving when you’re tired and feel like you’ve done everything you could is brave.
Waking up, and resting in your own way and time is brave.
Your struggle and reactions in this change, may it be big or small, is a signal from your body trying to communicate with you. Take notice!
What is it trying to tell you?
All my love,
Jae Custodio 💜
